Winter Wedding Ideas for a Cozy and Elegant Party

It’s the most wonderful time of the year… to get married! Winter comes with endless opportunities to host an elegant and cozy seasonal wedding. Think warm fireplaces, candles, fur stoles, and spiced cocktails. Go all out with a luxurious Winter Wonderland or pare things back for a warm cabin-weekend feel. This is the time to get creative and have fun with your wedding! From a special holiday song performance to an intricate ice sculpture, there are so many details you can add. Most importantly, you’ll get to marry your best friend in the most romantic season of the year! With lots of winter weddings in our guitar case, we’ve put together our favorite ideas to really wow your guests and make your winter wedding extra special and memorable.

A French Winter Glam Garden was an elegant spin off of a winter wonderland meeting an enchanted garden! Adding the French because, well, that just makes everything better! Setting the stage when it’s the centerpiece of the room is always a favorite for us ✨

Holiday Jazz Quartet
Start the night off right and add festive spirit to your event with a cocktail hour jazz band! As your guests enjoy a drink and hors d’oeuvres, keep them entertained with Holiday covers. This is a great way to create a sophisticated atmosphere while also embracing the joy that comes during the most wonderful time of the year.

Custom Cocktails
Give your guests a selection at the bar with a variety of hot and cold winter beverages. Signature cocktails like White Russians or mulled wine are always a hit. Or try hot toddies, buttered rum, spiked eggnog, and peppermint cocktails.

Décor
Transform your venue into a magical dreamworld. Consider a snow covered forest look with trees and winter white florals. Add crystal and sparkly ornaments, white lights, and snowflakes to keep the theme merry and bright. Or go full on holiday with red velvet bows, crisp white candles in brass, holly boutonnieres, and evergreen foliage. To add add some color to your wonderland, consider uplighting in hues of blue or maroon. This reflects off your icy elements and can help you customize your wonderland exactly how you want it.

Ice Sculpture
Ice, ice baby. There simply isn’t a more perfect time to have an ice sculpture than at a winter wedding! This is also a great way to incorporate a more personal touch into your wedding. For the subject of the sculpture, choose something that has a significant meaning to you and your fiancé. Your pet dog, a heart with your initials, or the location of your engagement (Eiffel Tower ice? Swoon!) are all great options.

A Surprise Performance
We love special requests and performances! If your wedding falls around the holidays, ask your band to add in some festive tunes to their reception set list. Carols can be a wonderful way for guests to bond and singalong with holiday cheer. Any songs from the Frozen soundtrack would also work well. If you and your fiancé or anyone in your bridal party are talented performers, consider asking them to put on a surprise performance that all your guests will enjoy!
